From family trips to a place to call home.

Growing up in Palm Springs, Vanessa’s family regularly visited the Colorado River. Trips to Oatman and Lake Havasu became part of her childhood, and she celebrated her first marriage in Bullhead City. Those ties stayed with her through the years that followed.

Life as a military wife took her to North Carolina and Sierra Vista, Arizona, for nearly a decade, where she focused on her education. On returning to California, she found her path into community association management.

Experience built from the ground up.

Vanessa began by answering phones, sorting mail, and filing work requests. As she worked through the different roles in a management office, she developed her expertise in association operations and financial tracking and earned her professional management credentials.

She later became Operations Manager at Sun City Palm Desert, a master-planned community with 5,000 homes, nearly 9,000 residents, two golf courses, three clubhouses, and more than thirty active resident committees. That prior role gave her a practical understanding of complex budgets, administrative systems, and the coordination that a large community requires.

Local relationships. A clearer way to work.

Family and her connection to the river eventually brought Vanessa back to Bullhead City, where she joined a local management office alongside her mother. As an operational lead, she helped guide the administrative systems of that firm as its portfolio grew from more than 20 communities to more than 80 across Arizona and California. These figures describe her prior-employer experience, not CVCM’s portfolio.

Working directly with local boards gave her a close view of the daily questions, vendor coordination, and unfinished follow-up that can weigh on volunteers. CVCM grew from that experience: a founder-led company focused on organized records, practical systems, transparent communication, and steady professional support.

The board retains the authority to make community decisions. CVCM’s role is to carry out its agreed professional responsibilities and give directors the information and follow-through they need to lead.
